Our team just got back from our trip to Round Top, Texas! What a fun few days! Lots of inspiration and team connection. With being a remote team, it was really special to all be together for a few days. Leaving the trip with lots of new memories and products! Photo dump!
Last week we had our Utah install and it went great! It was exhausting, but so rewarding to see our clients walk through the end result. I can’t believe this is what we get to do… Create and design homes that have a lasting impact on peoples lives. Stay tuned for more in the weeks to come!
This week we shared more about what the Light and Dwell aesthetic is and what design styles we work within. The following 6 powder bath designs represent each of the styles - Traditional, Mountain Ranch, Modern, Earthy/Organic, European-Inspired, and Cottage/Tudor. See More…
One of the best parts about my job is reviewing and editing designs. A few weeks ago, this primary bath came through for a comprehensive design and I about fell over in my chair. Checkered handmade tile is one of my favorite looks right now, and this design feels both innovative and timeless which can be hard to pull off. When clients really trust us, and go for it, it allows the best designs to come through.
What a week we had! Went to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a Premium Design Project, and let’s just say the people in the midwest are salt of the earth! Aymee and I always talk about how one of the best parts of job is the clients we get to work with.
This was a busy week! We had a walk through at our Pronghorn Project and Cottage in the Woods Project. Here are some highlights from those two project check ins.
Spent the weekend in Bend, at a clients vrbo we finished three years ago! Aymee stayed at the same clients vrbo in Whistler this weekend too! It’s always fun when your clients turn into repeat clients and friends!
We had our European San Francisco Hard Finish Presentation a while ago, and it’s safe to say, it’s going to be such a special project! Here are a few of my favorite spaces our design team on the project presented. In total, the presentation image deck was 80 pages… No detail missed!
This holiday has flown by, and we’ve had lots of snow here in the PNW! It snowed for us the day after Christmas, which was a dream for the kids, and another excuse to stay in pajamas and not leave the house all day. I hope everyone had a lovely holiday with family and friends!

The past two weeks have been a blur, and we’re smack dab in the holiday season! Last week, Aymee and I were in Austin together to check in on a project. We don’t typically travel together anymore, so it was fun that the stars aligned and we were able to!
Starting things off with my December Mood Board. Our design team creates mood boards each month, and today they’ll be sharing them with our design team. I love this day each month, because each designer’s personality comes out, but they all seem to be the “Light and Dwell” aesthetic. I love it! I’ll share them this week on IG… so stay tuned to see them on stories!
It’s that time of year again! Instead of a weekly recap, I’ve created a few gift guides for the holidays. Curated with thoughtfulness in the products being sourced, for gift giving you can feel good about. Quality over quantity around here, even during the holiday season :)
It’s time to start thinking about holiday decor! For the holidays, stick with the same color palette every year, so you don’t have to worry about wasting things each year. A warm, natural palette is a tried and true for years. Here are some of my favorite holiday pieces, that will work for years to come AND don’t all have to be seasonal…
Last week we had our on site walk through at our Austin Ranch Project. This projects a mix of antique and modern finishes, making it a well rounded project that will tell stories the minute the owners move into it. The views are incredible…
We just got back from our Tennessee Install this week, came home hit the ground running with a project walk thru, project designs, and gearing up for a site visit in Austin next week.
It feels like October is flying by! Next Friday, we leave for our install in Tennessee, which is hard to believe. We have 3 project walk throughs between now and Thanksgiving, multiple presentations, and 2 installs...
This week on Instagram we shared about our journey to sustainability and why it’s so important to us. If you’ve been following along with us the past year, you’ve seen us talk a lot about sustainability and why it is one of our core values here at Light and Dwell.
This past week, many of our projects hit exciting milestone. Framing, painting, and cabinetry installs to name a few. Believe it or not, we head out to our next install in Tennessee at the end of October!
