Five Things Friday
1. A trend I've been noticing more and more is colored trim. I can definitely get on board with grey trim, and I'd love to put it in someone's home! I think it really warms up white walls, and adds a lot of interest. Here are a few inspiration pictures.
3. One of our current projects is a State Farm Office in Corvallis. We are almost finished, and I have to say, I'm really pleased with how it's turning out! With a commercial space, there are a lot of things we have to keep in mind to stick to code, and they usually don't want a lot of "knick knacks" around. With that in mind, we always try and think about hard finishes, and how we can give them a "wow" factor to make up for the lack of accessories. Here are a few progress pictures I snapped on my phone this week during a check-in (keep in mind, lots of dust haha).
5. We are planning an install for a family with 3 kids all under 7 later for late spring/summer. Whenever we get to design a home for young families, I love it, because I have young kids myself! There are so many more "practical" and "durable" design elements I have to keep in mind, and I love that challenge. Here are a few of the items that are going in this home with their kids in mind (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
