Five Things Friday
1. It was a busy week! Aymee got back from Mexico and I got back from Boise, we celebrated Easter, Aymee had a birthday, and we started a new project! If you were watching our stories on Monday, you saw we celebrated Aymee's birthday by getting our nails done and treating ourselves to a blizzard (we are still doing no sugar, but we have a few dates on the calendar where we're splurging - one being Aymee's birthday)! When it comes to nails, Aymee tends to go dark, and I tend to go light. Here are some of my favorite nail colors for spring (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
2. We're currently working on a family room/nook space, and I'm inspired by bright, airy, cozy spaces. The walls aren't very high, so I'm thinking of ways to make the space feel taller (vertical shiplap, built-ins, light colors). Here are some spaces inspiring me for this new project.
3. Our family has lots of allergies, and it's hard to find recipes that actually taste "normal" and accommodate all four of us. For Easter, I made the most amazing gluten-free/vegan/nut-free (nuts are optional in this particular recipe) Carrot Cake, and YOU GUYS! IT WAS DELICIOUS! We hosted my parents, my in-laws, and my sister's family, who all had no idea it was "free" of all of those things. It's one I will definitely be making again. Here's a link to the Carrot Cake Recipe.
Have a great weekend!
