Five Things Friday - A look back, the new year, and my word for 2020

1.Its been a while, and this break has been everything and more I needed! Here’s a recap of some of the break highlights for the Kidd family... Brad and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with a staycation in our new house (bless my parents for taking all 3 kids for the weekend!), hosted Christmas and New Years Eve, and spent a lot of time settling into our new home. Aymee had all 3 kids home for part of the holiday, spent time watching Curtis play basketball (she will kill me for saying this, but she saw THE LEBRON JAMES in her hotel gym!!!!), and she spent lots of time with family and friends. All in all, we enjoyed our break!

Happy 10 Years of Marriage to us! What an amazing adventure its been so far. Seven “homes”, 3 kids, 2 states, and 6 job changes between the both of us! Time to settle in for a while ;) Wouldn’t want to be living this life without him by my side.

2. Did you guys see our NEW WEBSITE?!?! We are over the moon excited to share it with you all! We’ve been working for months on this thing with Old City Mailroom, and finally launched January 1, 2020! This next week, Aymee and I will jump on IG stories and tell you more about our new rebrand, and how to navigate our new website so it’s the most helpful for you. One of the features I’m most excited about is our SHOP section. Now you can shop all of our favorites, curated on our website by category!

3. Let’s take a look back on a few of our projects from 2019! This past year, we had some really special projects wrap up. We can’t wait to share with you all we have in store for 2020!

4. Sale items at Madewell are an additional 40% off, here are some favorites (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

5. Every year, instead of making a bunch of New Years Resolutions, I come up with a word for the year. Last year, my word was intentional, this year my word is wisdom. I want to be wiser in my health choices (how much I exercise, what I eat, how much I sleep, how much water am I drinking? etc.), my purchases (being more knowledgeable about where things were made/how they were made and who was involved in making them), my tech use (how much tv I’m watching, how much social media I’m consuming, and how often I pick up my phone), and lastly my relationships (am I thinking before speaking, and how am I treating those around me?). Whether you make one resolution, no resolutions, many resolutions, or come up with a word for the year, 2020 is ready for you!
