Five Things Friday - Tennessee, Sustainability, Family Pictures
1.If you follow along on instagram, you probably caught that we were in Tennessee for a few days last week to check in on our House on the Hill Project. It was our second site visit, and this time we walked through the project binder with the contractor and walked through every space meticulously going over every single detail. We also presented the soft finishes (which we normally don’t do on the same trip). AND we tacked on a day and had some fun too :) All in all, it was a great trip! A few project updates:
2. While in Tennessee, we went to the ABLE headquarters. We were able to meet with some of their amazing team members, get a tour, and try on some of their amazing clothes and accessories. “ABLE is an ethical fashion brand that employs and empowers women as a solution to end poverty. We’re deeply devoted to quality – both in the products we make and the quality of life we aim to provide. We invest in, train, and educate women so they can earn a living, break the cycle of poverty, and thrive.” - ABLE website. As we aim to be a company that sources sustainable products, it’s companies like ABLE that we want to partner with and support. After trying on their clothing items and seeing their accessories in person, I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing the quality of every item is! 3. We got our family pictures back, and I’m so happy we got at least ONE good one of the entire family ;)
4. Inspiration found this week…
5. Our family is headed over to Black Butte this weekend for a little family getaway for my birthday. We’re staying at Aymee’s place (which is available to rent)! It’s supposed to snow! I don’t think I’ve ever had a snowy birthday, so this could be a first :)
Have a great weekend!
