Five Things Friday - Holiday prep, Utah, Thanksgiving traditions
1.Last week when I was in Utah, I was reminded of how special that place is. Brad and I lived there for a few years after we got married, and this was our first time being back in a few years. We were able to get up to the mountains one of the days, and stopped in both Park City and Sundance (two of my favorite places). Take me back!
2. Thanksgiving is this coming week, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to skip it for Christmas. BUT, I am starting buy some Holiday items so they’re here in time for next weekend when we decorate! Also, stayed tuned for my Holiday Home Tour the week after Thanksgiving!
3. My current mood board in my office is channeling the holidays…
4. Did you see the entry and living room reveal from our Wolverine Drive Project this week?? Next week we’re sharing the kitchen!
5. Thanksgiving week means I’ll be in my pjs basically 24/7. Our family tradition is to get our family new holiday pjs Thanksgiving night. We bring in the Christmas season by opening new pjs and watching a Christmas movie. I look forward to this simple tradition every year! Here are the pjs I picked out this year for our family.
Thanksgiving day will look a little different this year, we will be just the five of us. I’m going to miss our larger family, but I am excited to make some new memories with just the five of us… Not to mention, I can actually stay in my pjs all day! Oh, and I’ll be attempting to make turkey and pumpkin pie for the first time in my adult life… Or I’ll buy them at Costco, ha. We will see how I’m feeling ;) Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
