Five Things Friday

1.A few things I’m grateful for this week (looking for gratitude in the midst of the unknown).

  • Cooking every meal at home, and not feeling rushed. I’ve loved spending time getting creative with meals and eating around the table every night with my family. This week, I reopened Shauna Niequist’s “Bread and Wine” and made her Magical White Bean Soup (which is so so good - see picture below from when I made it the other night)!

  • Daily walks. With Brad home, I’m able to take off mid day and go for a long walk alone. I don’t ever get the chance to do that with work and young kids, but in this season I’m able to.

  • Catching up with old friends through FaceTime and phone calls.

  • Our team rallying together and doing what we can to keep our business going, by getting creative and using the extra time we have to work on the business.

  • More sleep! I’m finding myself going to bed earlier, and sleeping in just later since we don’t have to get everyone rushed and ready out the door in the morning.

  • A simple thing: My milk frother! I’ve been making hot chocolate for my kids every day in it, and of course, I use it every day on my coffee. I also love my coffee maker :)

4. I’ve been trying to somewhat “get ready” each day. Here are my face essentials (tinted face H20, under eye concealer, boy brow, mascara, blush, lip balm).

5. Let’s celebrate Spring and all it has to offer (like summer dresses (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), white sneakers (1, 2, 3), ripped jeans 1, 2), and tee's (1, 2, 3) again). Let’s not forget the beautiful flowers, and the new life it represents.
