Five Things Friday

1.Last weekend, I shared on instagram some tips on making “roadside” bouquets. Finding something during this time that is a creative outlet that isn’t your “job” is so important! For me, it’s flowers. I used to do wedding flowers with my cousin, and thought I wanted to do that, but in the end, I love having that as a creative outlet. During this time, I’ve been taking my kids on long drives in the country, and foraging on the side of the road. Creating arrangements has been therapeutic for me, and giving them to friends has been really life giving. Find something you love, and incorporate it into your life while you’re at home.

2. The plaster walls are done at our Wolverine Drive Project, and they’re looking so good! I’m so glad our client wanted plaster. Next up, paint! From here on out, we get to see the home really come to life! We’ve been working on this project for a year and a half, and now we get to see the vision come to life.

3. Working from home, and having so many video calls, I’ve been wearing blouses and jewelry, with sweatpants and slippers. Can you relate? I’m sharing some of my favorite spring blouses (most on sale) and earrings (including this blouse I shared on IG). (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)

4. Have you guys watched Tiger King? You guys… If you watched it, then you know how unbelievable it was. Brad and I recreated the “Here Kitty, Kitty” music video for a family talent show we did with Brad’s side of the family. Thanks to Jason (from Bourbon Moth) our neighbor for directing/filming/and editing… We had wayyyyyyy too much fun making this. Oh quarantine, you’re making us all crazy! 5. Today is Good Friday, and Sunday is Easter. This year will look different than any other Easter, but I’m even more grateful for the message and the people I usually get to share it with. I hope you all have a really wonderful Easter!
