Five Things Friday

1.Interested in virtual design? For the rest of the month, our team has decided that for every virtual design purchased, $50 of each design will go towards the Loveland Foundation. The Loveland Foundation “is committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. Our resources and initiatives are collaborative and they prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing.” We feel passionate about everyone receiving the resources they deserve. Aymee and I have spent the majority of our lives mentoring girls through Young Life, being camp counselors, and volunteering in after school programs/schools/athletics. We wanted to give to help support black lives, and felt like this organization was making a powerful difference in the lives of black women and girls. If you’d like to purchase a virtual design, you can learn more here.

Here’s an example from a past virtual design client:

2. Did you see we’re hiring?! We’re looking for a CAD Designer/Project Manager to join our team full time! This person doesn’t need to live in Corvallis, but they do need to be able to commute to Corvallis once a week. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, send them this link: CAD Designer/Project Manager.

3. I didn’t post last week, so I didn’t get to share photos of Karoline’s 2nd bee day :) I can’t believe this girl is TWO. She’s all personality, and definitely keeps us on our toes! I’m so thankful to be her mama.

I had some questions about my dress and the cake. Here’s the story with the cake, I had a completely different plan (I was going to make fondant daisies), but then discovered chamomile in our neighbors yard and she kindly let me basically steal all of them for my cake. That’s what friends are for, right? And the cake is nothing fancy, it’s a store bought box cake mix and the frosting is this buttercream frosting recipe. My dress is under $35 from here.

4. Finally starting to put my home office together! Our team just purchased this printer that I’m SO excited about (I can finally print out design boards from home). Here are a few more office things I’m excited about…

5. Designs I’m inspired by this week…

Have a great weekend!
