Start with a neutral color space and layer texture and color in the decor.
Mix modern and vintage decor pieces. Style vintage accessories like a large handmade ceramic vase or vintage artwork on a furniture piece with clean natural, and minimal lines. Or vice versa, if you have an heirloom vintage hutch, style it with neutral toned accessories or decor pieces with architectural lines.
