Our Dining Room Refresh

Featuring Rejuvenation & Six Penny

I am so excited to share mine and Aymee’s dining refreshes with you today! We worked with Rejuvenation and Sixpenny on this project and could not be more in love with how it turned out! We went with banquette seating and many people have asked how this works functionally.. and let me tell you, I LOVE it! Personally, with three little ones, spills are unavoidable but all the covers are removable and machine washable. It’s the perfect spot for my morning coffee and a great working space throughout the day.

For my (Molly) dining room, I paired it with the Crosby Table and Chairs in Walnut. Such a quality piece that I know will last and is versatile enough to stand the test of time. The chandelier might be one of my top favorite pieces in my whole home. I fell hard for the fluted detailing and the silk shades. And I love that Rejuvenation assembles all their lighting locally in Portland.

We designed both rooms around Sixpenny’s dining banquette line and used the Aria Banquette for the Kuhlman’s dining room. Since Aymee’s kids are older, we felt more comfortable using the lighter linen color in Jasmine Rice. But the great thing is, all covers are still able to be removed and machine washed!

Aymee’s dining table is an heirloom piece passed down from her grandmother and is such a special piece for her and her family. We didn’t want the space to feel too matchy-matchy so went with the Weatherby Side Chair in Black Ash from Rejuvenation. I love how well this pairs with the Chandelier who is the real star of the show! Since Aymee is moving soon, we were also thinking about how to stage the home. The addition of the cafe curtains made a huge difference and completely elevated the room to feel more custom - I cannot say enough good things about these curtains from the quality down to the packaging they came in, we were so impressed by Dakin Decor and can’t wait to work with them on upcoming projects. Adding the mirror also reflects more of the natural light and makes the space feel even more open!
