Our Guide to Decorating for Spring
Saturday is the first day of spring and that means warmer weather is on it’s way! Rather than decorate with a focus on Holidays, I prefer decorating to each season. In the Northwest, Spring is a welcome departure from the grey, cloudy months that seem to be never-ending. Although the rain may be off and on for a while longer, I love to bring some color back to the indoors and celebrate the hopefulness of sunny days ahead.
Below we are sharing our tips for decorating and inspiration to bring a little “Spring” into your home!
Fresh Florals
Add fresh greenery/florals into your space. This really makes your home feel more alive. We like to add greenery in every space we design. It’s fun in the spring to bring in florals that are in season. I usually just pulled from my own yard and much prefer real over faux! Here are a few inspiration photos and some floral products we would recommend to make your own arrangements:
Spring Patterns
2. Incorporate spring patterns into your space by swapping out your throw pillows. Such an easy swap but makes a huge difference. Here is inspiration and a few of our favorites!
Spring Scents
3. Swap out your candles for spring scents. We believe good design incorporates all senses! Swap out a few candles for spring scents and check out our team’s favorites below.
Bedding Refresh
4. Bring lighter bedding & throws in for the warmer weather. I am a huge advocate for linen when it comes to changing out your sheets for spring/summer. Feels so crisp and clean and a perfect finishing touch to your spring cleaning.
Sunny Day Meals
5. Swap out your cookbooks with new ones with summer recipes. We love to host and cook with our families. The key to hosting is to incorporate all 5 senses including taste!
