Pronghorn Project Pt. I

We are so excited to share the first look of our #pronghornproject with you. This project has been over three years in the making and was a labor of love throughout most of the pandemic. Please welcome our latest dwelling! Overlooking the central Oregon desert, our new-build mountain ranch home takes its cues from the land, quite literally.

The majestic footprint of the home needed an equally compelling design. This masculine rustic retreat was made with natural materials, organic accents, and an elevated approach for maximum comfort. We were able to translate the rugged surroundings into livable yet tailored spaces for this client and their family. From woodsy brown stains to neutral yet impactful tile, stone, and marble, each room feels like a retreat. The details are full of character and make you take a second glance. Grouped in front of the elongated stone fireplace are warm home accents and furniture that create a really cozy environment.

The kitchen and dining nook have this moody and intimate feel to them. They make you never want to leave in the best way...From the dark countertops to all of the complimentary natural stone, it is such a timeless combination. I am also still swooning over the type of wood stain we went with. The warmth and overall moodiness sprinkled with brutalist antiques added just the right amount of our mountain ranch aesthetic.

Our custom furniture fits perfectly in this space, which combines iconic silhouettes with less conventional design details and it is so important to us that it is made out of sustainably harvested oak—with luxurious results. Shop our Frankie Stools here! Rugged and elegant at once, the transition into the breakfast nook and dining space is seamless!

We drew a lot of inspiration from Europe in this project. I loved the idea of the usefulness of a vintage wash-room inspired drying rack and wanted something elevated but also that had a bit of brawny cottage vibe to it. This was the perfect fit.

What was your favorite space? Stay tuned next week for our full bed & bath reveal!
