Our Six Styles

Here at Light and Dwell, we have six main styles that we personally correlate with our clients’ personality and livability: Cottage Tudor, Mountain Ranch, European, Earthy Organic, Modern and Traditional. Our projects are highly geographical, with the location driving us from coast to coast so, in order to stay cohesive while designing one-of-a-kind dwellings for our clients and their families, we have created these six styles that are the pillars to our brand and make people feel wholeheartedly home. Take a peek at what each of these styles mean and look like! In true L&D fashion we curated a shopping list for each aesthetic as well. Run don’t walk as most of the items are vintage and won’t last!

EUROPEAN

Our European style is a nod to old-age European culture and is highly influenced by that same elevated ease and warm refinement. Think living and patinad finishes like aged brass, vintage wood furniture, plaster, antique oil paintings, dish racks, etc.

COTTAGE TUDOR

Our Cottage aesthetic exudes a bespoke charming modern day cottage with bold characteristics. This style of home includes a cornucopia of earth tones and unconventional yet traditional details while never compromising existing heritage or heirloom quality.

EARTHY ORGANIC

This organic style takes most of its cues from the land. With this aesthetic, we typically design with soulful layers that give the allure of a dream earthy oasis. Think curved lines, natural materials, and handmade finishes with a plethora of raw elements.

MODERN

Modern dwellings have the perfect juxtaposition of clean lines and compelling design. Throw the “cold” stigma out the door as our version of modern warmth makes you take a second glance. Trust us, these spaces are equally tailored as they are liveable with no compromise for comfort or character.

MOUNTAIN RANCH

Our mountain ranch style has a masculine undertone adorned with natural materials, organic accents, and an elevated approach for maximum coziness. Each selection is hand curated from woodsy brown stains to neutral yet impactful tile, rugged stone, artful marble, and more.

TRADITIONAL

While we take tradition seriously, we also love to incorporate a fresh take on the classics. Find us pairing iconic silhouettes with less conventional design details to provide a timeless aesthetic. The soft palette, traditional millwork, and of course, your favorite old chair all welcome a homey nostalgia. Inspiration can be found by historic chateaus, childhood or a treasured find you picked up from a flea market.
