Villa With a View, Checkered Tile, and June Covets

Lots of progress is happening over at our Villa With a View Project! Thanks everyone for the kind words when we shared a walk thru of the project so far. We started designing this project a few years ago, and seeing it come to life is one of the best parts! So much behind the scenes designing, collaborating, ordering, waiting, construction, etc. that happens, that no one sees. This part in the project is always one where I need to take a step back and appreciate all the hard work that our team has invested in the project. The clients, the builder, the architect, our team… It takes everyone to get to the finish line, and we’re getting super close! Already anticipating the reveal in a few months… I’m banking on tears (and hopefully good tears), ha! Make sure you’re following us on instagram for all the BTS in the next few months.

What’s your favorite design element so far? We’re really loving the reeded closet doors… Designing those with the rounded detail gives it a softened, elevated look.

A lot of people ask on social media and through email for sources. We don’t share premium sources, for a few reasons… But mostly because our clients have paid for these designs, and it wouldn’t be fair to share all of the sources for free. We share our projects for inspiration and to attract like minded clients looking for the Light and Dwell aesthetic. We are so grateful for everyone’s support and we try to be as helpful as possible!

But, for those who love the Villa With a View look, we would describe it as a mix of European and Earthy Organic. Here are some curated items that go with that look!

The checkered tile in the shower for Aymee’s Cottage In the Woods is looking SO good. Can’t wait to see this bathroom all tiled by end of next week! We’re suckers for check pattern.
