Vintage Shops in Oregon

Vintage, thrifting, sourcing, purveying, antiquing, coveting

If you couldn’t tell already, vintage shopping is one of (if not our top) favorite pastimes. Typically, I run to the local thrift stores in my homeland, Oregon 1-2x/ week. Why you may ask? As a leader in interiors, we feel committed to being leaders in sustainability. Fast fashion has come under scrutiny during the past decade, and we believe that the same concerns apply to our industry. Part of our design promise is to mix 50% well-loved vintage pieces with custom made products, increasing the life of already-made materials and supporting local makers. It is also an obsession to consistently source new (but old) goods that tell a story and give the allure that these pieces have been passed down from generation to generation. It makes each of our clients have one-of-a-kind homes.

Aurora Antique Strip is one of my favorites! It is a “mall” of about 23 shops that bring an unparalleled selection of antiques and collectables. I may or may not leave here with an item every time! (sorry, hubs). This is where I scored big with the vintage Levis last month. It’s a great place to go for antique lighting, clothing, hardware, and larger furniture pieces.

The Albany Antique mall is just as iconic as it is historic. It is full of old-age finds. You might have to keep your eye out for treasures as they cover all of the vintage categories! They know me by name in there, you could say I’m a regular ;)

The Coburg Antique Mall prides themselves on carrying the unusual and more difficult to find pieces.

Last, but not least is the Monticello Antique Marketplace. I love their furniture and salvage garden sections. They also have an in-house cafe for an afternoon pick-me-up while you shop!

In case you are not local to this area, we put together some vintage items from online markets that caught our attention! We’re always looking for scallop details, old wicker baskets, shearling material, terra cotta, watercolors, marble, and matte/worn wood pieces. There is a mix of high and low items because we believe some heirloom pieces are worth investing in, while others should be more attainable! You better buy it before we do!

Ever notice our vintage stool obsession? In almost every project, there is one antique stool that works its way around the home from photo to photo. We tend to scour local antique stores wherever that project is based for the perfect stool that can be used for multiple purposes. Whether it’s next to a bathtub for a candle and wine, used as a side table next to a sofa, or placed in a kitchen for extra seating, there’s always a use! Brownie points if you comment your favorite stool in one of our projects below!

Have a great weekend!
