Our Guide to Installing Drapery

Drapery can make or break a design and we know how difficult it can be to finally land on your drapery selections. So when you finally do, you want to ensure the installation goes smoothly and adheres to the rules of design. Today we are sharing our installation guide in hopes of making the process a little less overwhelming.

These tips are for installing traditional drapes and rods. There are so many options out there and we love the versatility this style brings, especially with a linen pleat curtain (our favorite).

• The combined width of the panels should be 2 - 2.5x the window width.

• Hang curtain rods at least 1/2 way between the top of the window & your ceiling.

• Drape length should be hemmed to just barely hit the ground.
