Our Designer’s Dream Rooms

This week we asked our designers to put together their “dream room” designs and boy did they deliver! Our designers are trained in the Light & Dwell aesthetic but I love that you can still see their unique styles shine through in each of their designs. Check out Jane, Hannah and Hannah’s rooms below and learn more about the “why” behind each. Want to get to know them a little better? Check out our stories on Instagram today!

“My dream living room is bright, textured, comfortable & a little moody. First I brought in a roman clay finish in on the walls for a base layer of texture. I love vintage rugs and wanted to go with a moody theme, so I paired that with a darker brown sofa (great for livability and comfort as well)! I wanted to add in a vintage coffee table for more warmth and texture. The secondary sofa lightens up the design and then I added a budget friendly chair that is a beautiful warm tone! I wanted it to feel very low maintenance, comfortable & cozy for having people over.”

“For my “Dream Primary Bedroom”, I wanted the space to feel calming and relaxing while maintaining an elevated and beautiful feel. I selected natural tones and textured pieces to bring richness to the space and brought in some color and pattern with the vintage rug. I wanted to create balance by selecting a combination of curved and straight-lined furniture. I like to include a few vintage elements in my designs to give each space individualism and depth; I did this through the chandelier, rug, and pillow selections. All of these elements together helped create my “Dream Primary Bedroom”.”

“My inspiration behind my dining room design was to create a space that felt warm, and inviting. I almost envision this space being in a cabin on the lake! I love mixing new and vintage furniture pieces together to make it one of a kind and give it a more lived in feel!”
