Austin Ranch Presentation, Dining Refresh, and Check in at Aymee’s Remodel!

Happy Friday friends! It’s me, Molly! This week was a busy one with lots of things going on behind the scenes. It’s crazy to think that a lot of the projects we are working so hard on won’t be revealed for another year or so. Since our full service projects can be years long, I wanted to give you glimpse into our weekly going ons. Not everything is as glamorous as the end result makes it seem. Our team works so hard to get us to that final reveal and I want to share more of that with you. Today I am excited to start our new series on the blog “Weekly Archives” where I'm sharing our going-ons from the week, project sneak peeks and more! Be sure to sign up for our email list so you don't miss a post!

Austin Ranch Presentation

We had our Austin Ranch Home Presentation yesterday and it went great! It helps when your clients are as enthusiastic about the design details as you :) This project has a lot of charm and character, from the wood beams, to the wood cabinetry, to the all the patina’d finishes. If you want a home that stands the test of time, look at how your finishes will age! We will get our revisions back in a few weeks, but I’m so excited about where this project is headed - it’ll be a great one! Also, super fun to have Jane as my junior designer on the project. She has been on our team for years, and is like a sister to me. Fun fact, I was her camp counselor when she was in middle school and I was in college (that makes me feel so old). She’s super talented, and I love having her on this project with me!

Dining Refresh

This was a busy week with two presentations and photographing mine and Aymee’s dining rooms! Here’s a sneak peek of our dining rooms refreshed. We worked with Sixpenny and Rejuvenation on this project, and couldn’t be happier with how the spaces turned out. I’ve had a lot of questions about kids and upholstery in the dining room, and I was just as scared! BUT, the amazing thing is Sixpenny upholstery is slipcovered, and I can just throw the cover into the washing machine if it gets dirty. Honestly, it’s great! My dining room feels so much more comfortable.

Kuhlman House Update

Oh boy, we’ve got our work cut out for us at Aymee’s new place! This week we went by to check it out, and also presented the mood boards. Since Aymee’s on the team, we can share ALL THE THINGS, including the mood boards! We’re going for a “European cottage in the trees”… Which is everything I’ve wanted to design and more! Aymee has basically given me and the design team free reign, which is the biggest gift for my creativity! So excited to see this house get restored to a totally different place! Buckle up for the journey :)

I had to share these mules I just bought for the summer. I love them for traveling, work, daily errands… with jeans or dresses… They’re super versatile, and I’ve been eyeing them for a while now! Not to mention, the company is all about sustainability and ethical products. No ad, just really love this company!mules
