Memorial Day Sale Picks, Dôen Summer Launch, Project Updates, Emily Henderson’s Book Signing at Rejuvenation, and a note on the tragedy this week
Lots of Memorial Day Sales are happening this weekend! Here are some of retail and home decor items we have our eyes on!
While on the topic of Memorial Day Sales, this past week one of our favorite retail stores, Dôen, launched their summer line. You know how we feel about Dôen… It’s one of our favorites. The quality is unmatched, it’s female ran, and the pieces are even more beautiful on. This hat and black dress are two items I’ll be wearing on repeat throughout the summer. It’s easy for Aymee and I to work with Dôen, because their brand is so aligned with ours. Check out a few of our favorite pieces from their summer launch above, including this black dress and hat we shared earlier this week of me hanging out in my garden.
Our team has so many amazing projects currently in the works! We stopped by a local comprehensive clients home where we are getting ready to help with the furniture and styling. It’s beautiful, out in the PNW countryside, overlooking miles and miles of green. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
Last night, a few of the team members went to Emily Henderson’s book signing at Rejuvenation in Portland. Emily is absolutely lovely in person, and it was so fun connecting in person! Our team rarely gets to spend time together in person since we’re all across the country, but when we have events where the locals can get together, it’s always great! We went to the book signing, then out to dinner and drinks after the event. Our team is the absolute best.
We can’t not mention the tragic school shooting this week in Texas. Our hearts are incredibly heavy, and it hits close to home with many moms on our team. I personally have a 2nd grade daughter, and the thought of such a senseless act like that happening to her is beyond comprehension. Did you know years ago, Aymee was a 2nd grade teacher? It seems unfathomable that our kids in schools are practicing “school shooting drills” like they’re normal. It’s not normal. So, what can we do?? Beyond sorrow and prayer for the families, we are also wanting to take action. You can Text ACT to 644-33 and call your representatives. Our hearts go out to all the families who are dealing with the unthinkable. An absolute tragedy.
