Kidd European Farmhouse Design Refresh - Part One

Today we are excited to finally reveal the Kidd European Farmhouse Design Refresh! We worked with some incredible brands on this project and love how the spaces turned out. As is on brand, the design was heavily influenced by some local vintage pieces which makes it unique and all it’s own, a feeling we bring to every project we work on. Since this is my home, we are able to share sources, so be sure to check out those below!

With any house, it’s always evolving and changing over time, but the important thing is that the bones don’t feel trendy or outdated. I still love our creamy greige cabinets in the kitchen as much as I did when I designed the home over 3 years ago, but I’ve swapped out a few of the light fixtures and I’ve added some new pieces over time. When thinking about my personal home, I want it to feel both lived in and European inspired. I’m really inspired by Devol Kitchens, and their English kitchen designs. Warm, textured, earthy elements are something I’m also drawn to with my Pacific Northwest roots. I want everything to serve a purpose, and to feel layered.

For every project, I like to have a 50/50 rule… 50% vintage and 50% new. When thinking about vintage pieces, I love my area rug in my living room from Found Home Shop, she’s one of my favorite sources. The slope arm in my brown sofa from Lulu and Georgia are one of my favorite elements. I’ve added lots of layers of vintage textiles in the living room and primary bedroom. Vintage stools and lighting add texture, and I love the scallop detail on my Devol pendants.
