Molly's March Musings

Round Top

Siri, play Texas Hold ‘Em by Beyonce! This is our team’s second time to Round Top and let’s just say we left with some of our favorite finds to date. The 48 hour trip was jam-packed with purveying antiques from across the world and hunting down one-of-a-kind goods for our clients. We had so many inquiries about our finds and stops so we wanted to highlight a few of our must-see showrooms. The Round Top Antique Show is held 3 times a year and a hot tip is to go a few days early to get the good stuff while set up is happening! You know what they say, GO BIG or go home (we did both). Where I Went

THE COMPOUND

One of our favorite Round Top musts is Eneby Home! They are located at The Compound in the back left and showcase a beautiful curation of European vintage antique furniture and decor. This is their last show in Round Top so be sure to give them a visit and support their final trip. We left with a coffee table, dining table, sideboard, outdoor pots, and lots of art & decor. Photos of Eneby are below (look for the vaulted ceiling and indoor/outdoor display. The Compound has other great vendors as well for purveying quality antiques!

market hill

Market Hill houses *what feels like hundreds of vendors and although each have their qualified niche, one in particular stands out to us, Amelia Tarbet’s Showroom. We got to meet her this round and she is just as kind as she is talented. Each found object and piece of furniture felt unique and had its own story to tell. Her rehibilitation of goods and eye made this spot a match made in heaven for us. We left with the brown mohair accent chairs (hello scallop detail), wood bench, 8 dining chairs, vases, mirrors, pillows, and more.

blue hills

Blue Hills is a large indoor outdoor “arena” of treasure hunters. We scavenged over 25 booths and scored some amazing deals! From a giant console, botanical prints, pots, buckets, vintage bread boards, about 10 one of a kind side tables, and more, we love this spot…It is all about those diamonds in the rough that speak to you and end up being right where they belong.

What I Wore

Comfort is key when attending the antique fair. From wind gusts and rain to hours of hot dry dessert air you never know the conditions so best to layer! Denim was my go-to and a pair of sneakers if all you need. Shop my looks below or find inspiration from our Pinterest.
